About BTAL
Biogas Technologies Africa Limited (BTAL) stands at the forefront of Africa’s clean energy revolution, transforming what was once regarded as waste into a sustainable, high-value energy source.
About BTAL
Biogas Technologies Africa Limited (BTAL) is a wholly Ghanaian owned renewable energy company dedicated to transforming organic discards into clean, reliable energy and sustainable economic value.
Founded in 2001, BTAL has grown into a leading provider of biogas and anaerobic treatment solutions for households, institutions, industries, and municipalities. Our work supports a cleaner, more resilient Africa by turning biodegradable materials into biogas, bio-fertilizer, and other useful by-products.
We believe Africa’s energy future must be practical, affordable, and locally grounded. That is why we create solutions that not only generate energy, but also solve sanitation challenges, reduce fuel dependency, and support environmental stewardship.
Our Vision
Our Story
BTAL began with a bold vision: to prove that what societal discards can become a source of energy, dignity, and opportunity. What started as a focused effort in biodigester development has evolved into a broader clean energy mission centered on circular economy thinking and practical renewable solutions.
Over the years, BTAL has expanded from basic digester installations to integrated discard-to-energy and wealth systems serving hospitals, universities, homes, hospitality businesses, industries, and public institutions.
