Biogas Technologies Africa Limited (BTAL) is a wholly Ghanaian owned renewable energy company dedicated to transforming organic discards into clean, reliable energy and sustainable economic value.
Founded in 2001, BTAL has grown into a leading provider of biogas and anaerobic treatment solutions for households, institutions, industries, and municipalities. Our work supports a cleaner, more resilient Africa by turning biodegradable materials into biogas, bio-fertilizer, and other useful by-products.

Our Story
BTAL began with a bold vision: to prove that what societal discards can become a source of energy, dignity, and opportunity. What started as a focused effort in biodigester development has evolved into a broader clean energy mission centered on circular economy thinking and practical renewable solutions.
Over the years, BTAL has expanded from basic digester installations to integrated discard-to-energy and wealth systems serving hospitals, universities, homes, hospitality businesses, industries, and public institutions.
